Wheel Throwing Course
Pottery wheel throwing may appear effortless, but the initial attempts can be surprisingly challenging. Throwing on the wheel is fast-paced, messy, and delightful. Successful centering and pulling up walls require a calm mind and steady movements. Engaging in wheel throwing immerses you in hands-on creation and the present moment effortlessly. Throughout the hour, emotions may shift from initial frustration to determination and finally to the joy of accomplishment. During the course, you'll receive the support you need to create a successful piece from a skilled teacher.
The course fee includes instruction, materials, firings, base treatment, and glazing with glaze suitable for food use. The price includes VAT 25,5 %. Participation does not require prior experience in pottery.
Pottery with Slab Technique
In the slab technique course, everyone easily creates cups, mugs, or plates for personal use. Designing pottery sparks imagination, and crafting offers a relaxing way to focus on the moment. Pottery made from stoneware clay withstands both dishwasher and microwave. At the beginning of the course, the teacher demonstrates making a bowl, and soon everyone gets to sink their fingers into the clay. If you already have an idea for the pottery you want, you can ask the instructor for assistance in realizing your idea.
The course fee includes instruction, materials, firings, and glazing with white glaze suitable for food use. The price includes VAT 25,5 %. Participation does not require prior experience in pottery.
Pottery Short Course: Pinch Technique for Tableware (1.5 hours)
Looking for a group activity for a slightly larger group? In the pinch technique, everyone gets a feel for the properties of clay by touch. The teahcer demonstrates how to shape a clay ball into a round bowl or a small vase. We can add cute ears, eyes, or other fun details to the vessel.
The course fee includes instruction, materials, firings, and glazing with white glaze suitable for food use. The price includes VAT 25,5 %. Participation does not require prior experience in pottery.
Sculpture Course
Are you looking for a creative bonding experience for your group and a moment of focus? In the sculpture course, we can decide together in advance on the subject that the instructor will introduce at the beginning of the course. The subject could be, for example, a small self-portrait, an animal sculpture, or an abstract form representing an emotion.
In the sculpture course, you don't need to be already skilled; you can receive assistance from a skilled teacher in the process of creating your own artwork.
The course fee includes instruction, materials, and firings. The price includes VAT 25,5 %. Participation does not require prior experience in pottery.
Pottery Plant Pot Course
Do you have green thumbs in your group who would like a personalized plant pot to take home? Or perhaps you're looking for a decorative vase for your interior? In this course, we will build a plant pot or vase using the coil technique with high-fire stoneware clay. Different colors of high-fire stoneware clay are available during the course.
